Ever notice how a car wash works?
You pull in, put the car in neutral, and allow the system to do the work.
Our minds sometimes work the same way. When we slow down and quiet the constant thinking, deeper patterns can begin to shift.
What might your mind be ready to wash away??

Have you ever realized that understanding something doesn’t automatically create change?

There have been many moments in my life when I could clearly articulate what needed to shift… and yet I felt like I was pushing against an invisible wall.

For me, that’s shown up in becoming more visible online and in networking spaces.
It’s shown up in committing to healthier habits.

Logically? I knew what to do.

But knowing isn’t the same as being internally aligned.

I tried willpower.
I tried affirmations.
I created detailed plans and strategies.

And here’s what I’ve come to understand:

Behavior lives on the surface.
Patterns live underneath.

If a part of you associates visibility with judgment…
or success with pressure…
or health with restriction…

Your system will subtly steer you back toward what feels familiar even if familiar isn’t what you consciously want.

It’s not a lack of discipline.

It’s an identity-level pattern running quietly in the background.

Real change begins when we gently update the internal story: the images, meanings, and emotional imprints that shape how we see ourselves.

So I’m curious…

What’s something you fully understand at a logical level…
yet still find yourself looping around?

And what might be happening beneath the surface?

Love isn’t always a feeling.

Sometimes love is a practice.

When the world feels heavy, divided, or uncertain, it’s easy to close off. To harden. To disconnect.

But love can also look like this:
Staying present.
Softening your breath.
Choosing not to react immediately.
Meeting yourself with kindness instead of criticism.

Meditation is one way we practice love : not as perfection, but as steadiness. As humanity. As a quiet return to what matters.

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, discouraged, or simply tired, this is your invitation to begin again.

Winter has a way of leaving us feeling a little disconnected -
from our bodies, our breath, and ourselves.

If meditation has ever felt intimidating…
or if you’ve tried before and drifted away…
this is a gentle invitation to begin again.

You don’t need a quiet mind.
You don’t need experience.
You don’t need to do it “right.”

This weekly meditation practice is designed to help you slow down, settle your nervous system, and return to center - one breath at a time. Each class includes simple guidance, time for quiet presence, and space to just be human.

There’s so much happening in the world right now, and many people feel like they’re “not handling it well.”
I know I have stopped and thought the same about myself.

But here’s the truth and what I have reminded myself:

Capacity isn’t endurance.
It’s the space you create inside yourself so you can stay grounded, sensitive, and human.

If your capacity feels stretched, you’re not failing - take a pause.

Reset.

A simple practice you can try today:

Name – Notice – Nourish
✨ Name what you’re feeling
✨ Notice where it shows up in your body
✨ Nourish that place with breath or warmth

Capacity grows in the small moments.
Where do you feel yours expanding - or tightening - today?

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, scattered, or stretched thin, meditation can sound like one more thing to do.
This class is not about clearing your mind or doing it “right.” It’s about slowing down, settling your nervous system, and giving yourself a place to land.

Join me Saturday mornings at Sattva Wellness Collective for an hour of Meditation and Mindful Presence, starting Saturday February 7. Pay as you are able.

You’ll be guided step by step, with simple breath practices, gentle meditation, and time for quiet presence - no experience required. Whether you’re brand new, feeling rusty, or simply craving a calmer way to begin your weekend, you’re welcome here.

What might shift if you gave yourself one steady hour a week to pause and breathe?

Have you ever felt floaty, foggy, or just a little “off”…
but couldn’t quite explain why?

I know I have been feeling that way a lot lately.
You may be ungrounded, and it happens to so many of us, especially during stressful or chaotic times.

You might notice things like:
• Feeling outside your body
• Absorbing other people’s emotions
• A mind that won’t slow down, or is stuck in the past or future
• Sensory overwhelm when sounds are too loud, things are too much
• Small decisions feeling like too much

And here’s something important to know:
Ungrounded doesn’t mean “broken.”
It means your nervous system is overloaded and your energy is scattered.

Grounding is what brings you back.

It reconnects you with your body.
It settles your mind.
It creates a sense of inner steadiness.

And in difficult times - when the world feels intense, uncertain, or heavy -
grounding becomes more than a calming tool.
It builds capacity.

Because when you’re grounded, you can:
✨ Hold more without collapsing
✨ Feel your emotions without being swept away
✨ Make clearer decisions
✨ Respond instead of react
✨ Stay present instead of spiraling
✨ Discern what’s yours from what you’re absorbing

Grounding doesn’t change the world around you…
but it changes your ability to meet it.

Here are a few simple ways to ground today:

🌿 Feel your feet on the floor
🌿 Hand-to-heart breathing with a long exhale
🌿 Step outside for 60 seconds — let the air touch your skin
🌿 5-4-3-2-1 sensory reset
🌿 Hold something textured (a stone, blanket, warm mug)
🌿 Unplug...take a technology break

You don’t have to get it perfect.
Grounding is simply a return - over and over.
It is a practice.

A question for you:
What helps you come back into your body and the present moment when life feels overwhelming?

You don’t need a plan in the first week of January.
You need permission to listen.

Nature isn’t strategizing right now : it’s resting, shedding, and preparing beneath the surface.

If planning feels heavy, unclear, or forced, that’s information, not failure.

Alignment comes before action.
Clarity comes after honesty.
And sometimes the wisest move is not yet.

What if this season isn’t about deciding…
but about noticing what you’re ready to release?

There was a moment in my journey when I realized something important—spiritual growth alone wasn’t enough to move me forward.

After a long corporate career, I felt called to something deeper. So, I immersed myself in interfaith study, spiritual counseling, and practices that expanded my sense of purpose.
I became aware, opened my heart, and understood more about my path.

But even with all that clarity, I still felt stuck. I hesitated. I was holding back from truly living.

What I didn’t understand at first was this:
Insight lives in the conscious mind… but safety lives in the subconscious.

While I was doing the “right” spiritual work, my subconscious was still running old programs like:
It’s too late.
You should know better by now.
Don’t take too many risks.

I wasn’t broken.
I wasn’t doing anything wrong.
My system was just protecting me.

That’s when I discovered subconscious work through hypnosis and NLP.
And that shift changed everything—gently, steadily, and from the inside out.

I’m sharing this journey in three phases over the next few posts:
✨ Awakening
✨ Understanding the missing layer
✨ Integration through alignment

If any part of this resonates with you, know that you’re not alone.
There’s always room to shift—at your pace, in your time.

What do you sense might be asking for alignment in you right now?

Let’s keep the conversation going – drop a comment below or DM me if you’re ready to explore how subconscious work can help you move forward with more ease. 🌿
