Improving maternal health takes partnership.

At NJPCA’s inaugural Maternal Health Convening, leaders from across New Jersey came together to share strategies and strengthen the systems supporting pregnant and postpartum individuals.

“Collaborations make organizations stronger and make communities healthier.”

From perinatal mental health to community-based solutions like doula care and family support programs, the day focused on real ways to improve outcomes. A featured panel also highlighted the critical role Community Health Centers play in caring for families across the state.

Save the date: Each year, one New Jersey health center is chosen to host the National Health Center Week Kick-Off to commence our celebration of America's health centers. This year, Zufall Health has that honor!

To make it even more special, the event will take place at Franklin Middle School, home of our soon-to-open school-based health center.

In partnership with the New Jersey Primary Care Association, we’ll welcome government officials and health care leaders for a special media briefing on the impact of affordable, quality care. At the same time, we’ll host a public Family Fun Day with free food, backpacks, health services, and more, that will begin at 11:00 AM.

All are welcome, and we can’t wait to see you there!

Each April, NJPCA brings clinical leaders together for a day of impactful training focused on quality care for NJ’s Community Health Centers. The event was a great success, offering educational sessions focused on Intimate Partner Violence, Health-Related Social Factors, Hypertension, Oral Health, and Diabetes/CKD.

NJPCA would like to thank everyone who attended our Annual Women’s Health Week Luncheon on May 17th, where we brought together over 100 Health Center staff members and special guests to celebrate women’s health and wellness. We were honored to have Dennis Gonzalez; Executive Officer, Office of the Secretary – Region 2, U.S. Department of Health & Human Services and Dr. Omolola Taiwo; Executive Director, Office of Primary Care and Rural Health, Division of Community Health Services, New Jersey Department of Health. We want to give a shoutout to Kay Frances, our keynote speaker, for delivering an empowering and funny speech, while encouraging us to make our health a priority. Here’s to another successful event!
