Sidekicks provides personalized, consistent, and comprehensive 1:1 support services in the home and in the community for individuals with disabilities and their families. Every Superhero Needs a Sidekick

Our support services enable individuals to achieve goals, overcome daily obstacles, enhance social skills, and obtain greater independence. Our services include: ABA Therapy (ages 4+), Speech Therapy (4+), Individual Support Services (3-21) and Direct Support Services (21+)

Funding for Sidekicks services may be fully or partially covered by one of our contracted insurance providers, the Division of Developmental Disabilities, or the Department of Children and Families. The single most important thing you should know when navigating Applied Behavior Analysis Therapy is that a trustworthy provider will be an open book about their financial practices. Let's help you find the best provider so you can focus on your child's progress.

⬆️ People change jobs and insurance plans. A prepared provider will have a clear, standardized process for this transition to minimize disruption to your child's therapy.

It is imperative that you notify your provider immediately of any insurance or plan changes. The provider should immediately re-verify your new benefits, including deductibles, co-pay, and authorization requirements.

Families should be aware that insurance co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles are reset annually on January 1. As a result, increased out-of-pocket costs may apply.

⬆️ This is the most fundamental question. A vague answer here is a major red flag. You need a clear, written breakdown of your financial responsibility.

The provider should be able to give you a detailed estimate based on your specific insurance plan. They should explain the key components of your cost including any deductible, co-pay or co-insurance and out-of-pocket maximums.

We're grateful to be part of an amazing community every day, but on days when we get to connect, we're reminded how lucky we are to not only be a resource ourselves but to have resources that help us along the day.

Back in November, RetireReady NJ came to our Sidekicks Support Center to help educate and inform us. If you know us, you know that providing a supportive workplace is very important to us and something we pride ourselves on. Retire Ready is an extremely helpful resource in making sure we continue that legacy.
