We swapped rooms with .lasseter.dpt and we are loving all the extra space in our birth room! We have an inflatable tub with handles and aesthetic, lots of storage, all the birthing balls you could want, and most importantly, window blinds are coming soon to provide privacy and dim lighting!

Meet your birth team! Yes. We’ve know each other FOREVER. The second picture was taken in fall 2016 when Hannah came to visit Sami while Sami was still in her first semester at Mercy In Action College of Midwifery. Hannah is now enrolled and in her final year at the same college! The rest of our friendship is a long history of birth nerding-out, being at each others births, breastfeeding support, emotional eating, and a deep mutual love of coffee.

Honoring Dr. Michel Odent (1930–2025)

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. Michel Odent, a visionary who transformed how the world understands birth and breastfeeding.

✨ His gentle wisdom reminded us that mothers’ instincts matter, that birth can be respected, and that breastfeeding is part of a lifelong connection of love.

For decades, he worked closely with La Leche League, speaking at LLL gatherings and advising our LLLI Professional Advisory Board. He always affirmed the gentle continuum from birth to early breastfeeding.

Our hearts are with his family and loved ones. We are deeply grateful for their kindness in remembering La Leche League at this time, a gesture that beautifully reflects the values Dr. Odent dedicated his life to.
