Community Health Alliance - Sojourner Recovery - Transitional Living TLC

Community Health Alliance - Sojourner Recovery - Transitional Living TLC Our programs include:

Sojourner Recovery Services, an agency of Community Health Alliance, is a full spectrum substance use treatment center.

Community Health Alliance, through Sojourner Recovery Services and Transitional Living-TLC, utilizes individualized treatment programs for general mental health and overcoming the disease of addiction. We have 7 residential facilities spread over Butler, Warren, and Preble County as well as 2 outpatient centers and our medical clinic located in Hamilton Ohio. We specialize in substance use treatme

nt for adult men, adult women, and pregnant or post-partum mothers. When you are referred to Sojourner Recovery for services, you can expect to receive an assessment on your first day either by telehealth or face to face by a certified addiction counselor to determine the appropriate level of care. We offer withdrawal management, residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and non-intensive outpatient. Childcare is offered during group time at several of our facilities, and we accept mothers with children under 12 at 2 of our residential locations. Medication Assisted Treatment
Sojourner offers the opportunity to be assessed by a physician for medication assisted treatment. The medications relieve withdrawal symptoms, reduce cravings, and bring about a biochemical balance in the body. We also can treat minor physical health conditions and work closely with several local primary care providers. Perinatal
Sojourner operates a prevention program focused on women of child-bearing age. We utilize a holistic approach to provide services to drug dependent and high risk pregnant and post-partum women before, during, after, or in lieu of treatment in a variety of settings. We strive to help women achieve abstinence and maintain sobriety throughout the last trimester of their pregnancy, thereby delivering a “drug free baby” and improving the quality of life for both mother and infant. Recovery Housing
Sojourner operates several Recovery Houses in Hamilton, Ohio. We have 3 houses for single men, 1 house for single women, and 1 house for pregnant women with children under 2. We offer sober support, peer support, and a client driven length of stay for everyone who chooses to reside in one of our recovery residences. Discharge Recovery Planning
Sojourner’s discharge planning services start at the point of admission and are an integral part of our recovery programs. We strive to provide clients with the skills and tools necessary to successfully transition once treatment is completed. Focus is placed on developing a recovery action plan which includes, among other things, sober support, housing, medical needs, employment, parenting and education.

This Earth Day, we’re thinking about the environments that shape our health.

Clean air and green spaces matter—but so do safe spaces, supportive communities, and access to care.

At Community Health Alliance, we see it every day:
When people are surrounded by the right support, healing becomes possible.

Because recovery doesn’t happen in isolation.
It happens in environments built for strength.

🌎 A healthier world starts with healthier communities.
And that’s something we can all be part of.

Here’s what mental burnout can look like…

Here’s a phenomenon that's all too familiar in our fast-paced world: mental burnout. You know, that sneaky feeling that creeps up on you when you're juggling a million things at once, making you feel like a circus act gone wrong. 🎪
So, what does mental burnout look like? Here are some telltale signs:
1️⃣ You have no motivation 🚶‍♀️You're running on fumes and even the smallest tasks feel like climbing Mount Everest.
2️⃣You’re feeling overwhelmed 😵‍💫 Your to-do list is as long as a CVS receipt, and you can't catch a break.
3️⃣ You’re easily agitated 😤 Even the tiniest things set you off like a firecracker.
4️⃣ You can't sleep 🌙 Counting sheep? More like counting worries. Sleep is a distant memory.
5️⃣ You have constant anxiety 😰 You're sure everything's falling apart and you'll be left behind.
This is what people who are already burnt out (or on their way think..)
🔸 "I need to work harder." 🔸 "Everyone else seems to be doing fine." 🔸 "If I don't keep pushing, I'll fall behind." 🔸”If I don’t do “X”, everything will fall apart”
Does any of this sound familiar? If so, it might be time to hit the brakes and take a breather. After all, you can't pour from an empty cup, right? ☕

What do you think? 💭 Can you relate to these signs of mental burnout or need extra support? We're here if you need it and you can ALWAYS call 988!

A powerful example of what happens when care connects 🤍

Our Perinatal and Mama’s Programs were honored to receive an incredibly generous donation from The Oxford Women's Care Center — boxes filled with diapers, wipes, infant and maternity clothing, and essential hygiene items. These resources will directly support the women and families we serve, both in treatment and throughout our community.

At Community Health Alliance, our Perinatal and Mama’s Programs provide comprehensive care for pregnant and parenting women navigating substance use and mental health challenges—offering treatment, support, and a path forward for both mom and baby.

The Oxford Women’s Care Center plays a vital role in our region by offering free services to pregnant women and families in need, meeting immediate needs with compassion and dignity.

Through ongoing collaboration with Kendra Hall, LSW, Director of Early Childhood and Prevention Services, this partnership has grown into something meaningful. We’re now working together to provide services between our programs—because when we work together, families get what they truly need.

We’re grateful—and just getting started! 💛

This past Saturday, our Perinatal Program joined a wonderful Community Baby Shower at the Sonny Hill Community Center in Middletown 💛

Hosted by the Centering Program at Atrium Medical Center’s Maternal Health Clinic and the Partners in Reducing Infant Mortality Program of Butler County ESC, the event welcomed expecting mothers and families with infants for a day of connection, education, and support.

With an estimated 200+ attendees, families enjoyed giveaways, raffles, a photo booth, and the opportunity to connect with doctors, doulas, and a lactation consultant.

Our team, including Kendra Hall, LWS, Director of Early Childhood and Prevention Services, and Francesca (Nikki) Sams, Perinatal Case Manager, connected with families at our vendor table—sharing information about our Perinatal Program and additional services through Sojourner and TLC. Nikki also helped ensure two MAMA’s clients could attend by providing transportation!

We’re grateful to be part of such a strong, supportive community for families!
