Susan's sister posted an update yesterday saying that Susan's surgery was a success, her stomach was removed, but she could use all your prayers right now. The doctors and nurses are not sure what's happening right now. Susan's short-term memory is just not quite there. They're hoping it's a reaction to the medication. Many of you remember our dear friend Michael Peterson and his troubles and tribulations with cancer. Mike's sister, Susan Peterson Frary, is battling the cancer for the 6th time and Susan has now lost her husband of 32 years unexpectedly. Friends, Family today is the 6th day of my Peterson Family Cancer Foundation T-shirt fundraiser!

The Josh & Schuyler Cancer Foundation was created in remembrance of brother & sister, Josh & Schuyler Peterson by their father Mike Peterson. In 2014 Mike also passed away. I, Susan Frary am the only one left with this P53 gene mutation called Li-Fraumeni Syndrome that is still alive. I have renamed it The Peterson Family Cancer Foundation to include Mike as it was his vision to always help others. The foundation was created to help assist families who have cancer and are in need of money for gas, groceries, utilities, or travel expenses. This foundation is now my priority to keep Mike's dream alive.

I want to personally thank each and every one of you! I know some of you knew my Nephew Josh, so many knew my brother Mike! Mike was bigger than Life! We lost Schuyler too young at 8. Rest in Peace Michael Peterson, Schuyler Peterson, and Josh Peterson.

Li-Fraumeni Syndrome is rare. It is a rare syndrome that features rare cancers. Many cancers in a person, in a family. It does feature more prevalent cancers- like breast cancer but as we say in our support group- we do rare. They say with rare diseases- when you hear hoofbeats think zebras not horses- we are Rare rainbow zebra unicorns. Not often recognized in the wild- but we are there-We are living LFS.
