*** Shop with a Deputy Campaign Now Accepting Monetary Donations ***

Media Release: November 10, 2025

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce the return of its annual “Shop with the Deputy” program, a community initiative that brings local children and deputies together for a day of holiday shopping, fun, and fellowship.

“This program is one of the highlights of our year,” said Sheriff Mark B. Gulledge. “It allows our deputies to connect with young people in a positive way and helps families who may be struggling during the holidays. We’re grateful for the community support that makes this possible.”

The “Shop with the Deputy” campaign is supported through contributions from local businesses, civic groups, and residents. 100% of the funds raised go directly toward benefiting children in Richmond County.

Community members who wish to contribute can make donations at the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, located at 1 Court Street, Rockingham, NC 28379.

For more information about the “Shop with the Deputy” program or to learn how to participate, please contact Detective Watts at (910) 895-3232.
