Hello friends,
I wanted to let each of you know that I have made the decision to close the tea shop.
I have lost sleep over this but I just can’t see a way to avoid it.
An amazing career, a new grandson, a husband overcoming a heart attack, a daughter in college, another one recovering from surgery, and a mom that needs me—these are the things that need my attention. With that being said, I can’t make this post without saying—THANK YOU!
Thank you for supporting a small business. This came right before I lost my daddy and it gave me purpose and distraction while my heart was breaking.
Thank you for stopping just to visit and let me learn about your lives. I have so many new friends that I didn’t know before! I will truly miss this.
Thank you for showing me grace when I needed to close the doors and I wasn’t open when I said I would be.
Thank you to my sister, Brooke, and BIL, Mike, for always helping (ask them about a water leak the night before my dad’s golf tournament 🤦♀️😳). They always show up.
Thank you to my girls for always helping their crazy mother when she dreams up “the next thing”.
Thank you to Bryan for supporting my ideas (even when it costs his pocketbook).
And I can’t end this without saying THANK YOU to my right hand, my partner in crime and one of my best friends— Cassie Reyna Drinnon. I can’t even begin to tell you all the things she has done for this little shop, my family and for me. When I jokingly say, “she’s the boss, I just do what I’m told”….I mean it! She has held it all together and it would’ve never made it 3 years without her commitment to the job and to me personally. I looked for a dedicated employee and I found a lifelong friend.
I love a challenge. I love trying new things. I’m not afraid of hard work. However, I believe my plate is full.
If Bryan’s heart attack taught me anything, it proved that life is short and it can be taken from you at any moment. Cherish the time. Cherish the people you spend it with. Don’t cheat either of these things by spreading yourself so thin that you don’t fully experience them.
Thank you again, dear friends.
Lynne
PS-our last day will be Friday, May 1. However, I can still order anything you’d like and Cassie can make you “to-go” packages. Just let her know. I know some of you have found your “favorites” and I’m happy to help you keep them!
If you have gift certificates, we would love to honor those. Please use before May 1.
