Spending time near water—oceans, lakes, rivers, ponds—can actually help regulate your nervous system. Research shows that these “blue spaces” support focus, reduce anxiety, and promote calm through gentle sensory input.

Time blindness struck me last night, unexpectedly.
My day was going great… until I decided to run a couple “quick” errands…
The next thing I know, it’s 8pm, dinner’s not made, groceries are scattered, my overtired baby has become a literal tornado, and dishes are piled up everywhere.

ADHD doesn’t just affect focus.
It can warp time, steamroll routines, and leaves chaos in its wake.

BUT I chose grace over guilt. And that helped prevent horrible executive dysfunction today.

I reset and started fresh. And yes I caught up on the dishes today.

Anxiety and ADHD, ladies and gentlemen — the ultimate frenemy duo.
ADHD says “Let’s be loud, bold, spontaneous!”
Anxiety says “That was a terrible idea and we will now spiral for 3–5 business days.”
