🌟 Caregiver Spotlight: Joyeau 🌟

We’re excited to shine the spotlight on one of our compassionate caregivers, Joyeau! 💙

Joyeau may be newer to the healthcare field, but she has already spent over a year providing dedicated care—and it shows in everything she does. She has a natural ability to connect with her clients, often seeing reflections of her own family members in those she cares for. That personal connection drives her to go above and beyond to ensure her clients feel happy, comfortable, and truly valued.

Outside of work, Joyeau enjoys traveling (with adventures spanning from Spain and the Virgin Islands to Canada and California ), catching a good movie, peaceful walks along the shore, and browsing her favorite bookstores.

She has big goals for her future, including enrolling in CNA school and continuing her education—either in Nursing or Medical Sonography. We’re excited to see where her journey in healthcare takes her!

A few fun facts about Joyeau:
🏈 Born in New York, raised in New Jersey, and has called North Carolina home since 2002
🌎 Lived in Mexico for three years before moving to Wilmington
🏈 Huge fan of the New York Giants

We’re excited to shine the spotlight on one of our amazing Nurse Aides, Tiffany! 💙

Tiffany’s journey in healthcare began nearly 11 years ago as a dietary aide in a nursing home in Vermont. Through building meaningful relationships with residents, she discovered her passion for caregiving and stepped into her CNA role 6 years ago. After moving to North Carolina almost 5 years ago, we’re so grateful she found her home here with New Estuary Home Care!

Tiffany truly values the one-on-one connections she builds with her clients. She loves hearing their stories, learning about their lives, and providing care that not only supports them—but also brings comfort and peace of mind to their families. It’s that compassion and dedication that make her such a special part of our team.

Outside of work, Tiffany enjoys reading, watching documentaries, listening to podcasts, getting creative with DIY and arts & crafts, and spending time outdoors 🌿

Her personal goal? Becoming the healthiest version of herself—because as Tiffany says, health is wealth! 💪

We try to keep things fun around here, and this week I asked our team to share their best “think outside the box” redirection tactics for clients who get fixated on something.

We got some really cute and thoughtful responses and honestly, it’s just another reminder of how amazing and creative our caregivers are 💛

🌟 Caregiver Spotlight: Meet Tish! 🌟

We’re excited to shine the spotlight on Tish, one of the wonderful caregivers who make New Estuary Home Care such a special place. 💙

Tish loves working with seniors because she knows how important it is to have someone there for a little extra help, companionship, or simply someone to talk to. One of her favorite parts of the job is listening to the stories clients share about the “old days.” She enjoys imagining the moments they describe and learning from the experiences they’ve lived.

Before joining New Estuary, Tish spent over 11 years working in doctors' offices in Florida, gaining valuable healthcare experience that she now brings to the clients she cares for every day.

Tish says she loves working for New Estuary Home Care because the team is so down-to-earth and easy to talk to. She appreciates that everyone truly cares about both the clients and the caregivers, and that the agency works hard to prevent caregiver burnout while allowing flexibility to help caregivers build schedules that work for them.

When she’s not working, Tish enjoys spending time with her parents, playing with her two dogs and cat, watching movies, and visiting with her grandchild whenever she gets the chance. She also loves going to the beach early in the morning or late in the afternoon and taking photos of nature while hiking. 📸🌿

Her simple but meaningful goal for the future: enjoy life, because it’s too short.

🎉 Congratulations to Our Newest Nurse Aides! 🎉

Please join us in congratulating Lexi, Tish, Michelle, Sydney, and Torre on an incredible accomplishment! They all recently passed their state registry skills exam and are now officially listed on the North Carolina Nurse Aide I Registry. 👏

This achievement reflects months of hard work, dedication, and a true passion for caring for others. We are so proud of the effort they put into completing their training and reaching this important milestone.

We’re excited to see the compassion and skill they will bring to the clients and families we serve every day. 💙

🌟 Caregiver Spotlight: Kristen Turner 🌟

We’re excited to introduce one of our wonderful caregivers, Kristen Turner!

Kristen loves working with people where they feel most comfortable—at home, surrounded by their families and the things they love. That’s one of the reasons she enjoys being part of the New Estuary team. Providing care in a client’s home allows her to build meaningful connections and learn the incredible stories and life experiences each client has to share.

Kristen’s passion for healthcare started early when she volunteered in assisted living facilities as a teenager. After graduating, she began working in one and discovered just how much she loved caring for others. Through New Estuary, Kristen is currently working toward earning her CNA, and she has big goals ahead—she plans to continue her education and earn her A.D.N. to become a nurse! 👩‍⚕️

When she’s not caring for clients, Kristen enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, watching shows, reading, baking, doing crafts, and exploring the outdoors. She also loves visiting museums and art galleries whenever she can.

We’re so grateful to have Kristen on our team and to see the compassion and dedication she brings to our clients every day. 💙

Our Caregiver Support Group is tomorrow at 10 AM at our Hampstead office.

We’re looking forward to having Monica from Amedisys with us as our guest speaker. It’s going to be a great time to connect, talk through real life challenges, and just be in a room with others who understand the caregiver journey.
