A look inside LICR through Eric’s experience. ☀️🌟

“Best rehab ever. Caring, clean, prompt, effective. 24/7 care. They will take care of you and make sure you are comfortable and leave caring for yourself.

They offer yoga, serenity bed therapy, taxi service to and from the center, group therapy, daily reflections, gym, amazing food. Literally different meals every day, each one amazing.

Everyone from the counselors to the cleaning staff, the therapeutic aides, the chefs, supervisors, etc., are all so kind and understanding of addiction completely.

It includes a great flexible detox stay where you can slowly and comfortably put yourself together in the first few days of your stay.

Be prepared to invest yourself in the program! Don't go if you don't want to get better.

You will leave stronger than normal!”

Focused healing, one individual at a time. ❤️

At the Long Island Center for Recovery, our inpatient rehab program gives individuals the time, space, and support to focus fully on recovery.

A key part of this journey is Individual Therapy. Weekly sessions with a primary counselor help explore personal patterns, work through emotional struggles, and build coping skills for lasting change.

Recovery is personal. Your healing deserves individualized attention. ☀️

First Things First 💜

At the Long Island Center for Recovery, we live by this simple AA principle every day.

Recovery can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. First Things First reminds us to focus on what matters most today: taking care of ourselves, staying present, and choosing the next right step.

For individuals beginning their journey, this means prioritizing safety, support, and healing, whether through medically supervised detox, therapy, or daily recovery practices. For those continuing the path, it’s a reminder to return to the basics when life feels heavy, so momentum isn’t lost.

By putting first things first, recovery becomes manageable. Each small, intentional step builds confidence, clarity, and the foundation for lasting change.

Because progress isn’t about doing it all at once, it’s about showing up today. ☀️

At Long Island Center for Recovery, individuals can move, reset, and reconnect in our outdoor recreational space. 🌳

Basketball on the court, strength at the pull-up bars and more! Moments outside that bring clarity and calm.

Because recovery also lives in the spaces where you can breathe, move, and feel present again.

What’s your favorite way to reset outdoors? ☀️

What Jack Taught Us ☀️

Jack Hamilton, our founder, was a man of unwavering passion for his family, for recovery, and for helping others rebuild their lives. He never gave up on an individual struggling with addiction.

Through the words of his daughter, we honor 3 powerful lessons he left behind, principles that continue to guide us at the Long Island Center for Recovery:

1. Every addict deserves a chance, and another, and another.

2. Forgiveness is more valuable to the giver than the receiver.

3. Everyone is capable of change.

Jack’s lessons live on in the way we support every individual who comes through our door.

His legacy reminds us that hope, compassion, and belief in change can transform lives.

One Day at a Time 💜

A simple reminder you can return to, again and again.

At the Long Island Center for Recovery, we believe recovery starts right here in this moment.

When things feel heavy, bring it back to today.
Not forever. Just today.

Ask yourself 💬
What is one thing I can do to support my recovery right now?
What does taking care of myself look like today?

Maybe it’s showing up to a meeting.
Maybe it’s asking for help.

Because recovery is built in small, steady moments… One Day at a Time.

At the Long Island Center for Recovery, nutrition is more than just food. It’s fuel for individual’s healing and recovery.

Sometimes that fuel comes in the form of a delicious vanilla cupcake with icing. These small treats are a reminder that recovery is about balance, self-care, and enjoying the little joys along the way. 🧁

From nourishing meals to thoughtful snacks, every bite helps support energy, wellness, and the work of rebuilding a healthy, strong life.

Recovery is not just about discipline; it’s about learning to care for yourself in all the ways that matter! ☀️

Our Drug and Alcohol Addiction Treatment Services are a foundation for healing, growth, and lasting change. 🤍

At the Long Island Center for Recovery, we know that recovery isn’t one-size-fits-all. It’s personal. It’s layered. And it deserves care that meets you exactly where you are.

Inpatient Detox is often the first step, and we make sure it’s a safe one. Our medically supervised inpatient detox provides 24/7 support, personalized care, and a compassionate environment to help ease withdrawal and stabilize the body. You’re not alone in this process, you’re supported every step of the way.

From there, healing continues in our Inpatient Rehab. With structured days, individualized therapy, trauma-informed care, and a strong sense of community, individuals are given the space to truly focus on recovery, free from outside triggers and stressors.

This is where growth happens. Where patterns are understood. Where real, lasting change begins. ☀️

Because recovery isn’t just about stopping, it’s about rebuilding. 💜

If you or someone you love is ready to take that first step, we’re here. Always. Call 1-800-344-5427 today, or fill out the form on our website.
