Here's something to explore

Hashimoto’s thyroiditis is an autoimmune condition that leads to an underactive thyroid and consequent symptoms.

Though it is most common in middle-aged women, Hashimoto’s may affect anyone, men, and women at any age, including children and teens. It is the most common form of hypothyroidism; therefore, it is very important to recognize its symptoms to receive treatment as soon as possible.

It is just as important to understand its causes to prevent Hashimoto’s thyroiditis from happening in the first place.

This works well for all ages! Give it a try.

Sometimes when a child feels overwhelmed, worried, or full of big feelings, their body needs a simple way to settle.

Humming can help.

The gentle vibration created when a child hums sends calming signals through the body and can help regulate the nervous system. It’s a small strategy, but for many children it can be surprisingly powerful.

You can show your child how to take a slow breath in and hum softly on the way out. The buzzing feeling in the chest, throat, and lips helps the body begin to slow down and reset.

It’s quiet, simple, and something a child can use almost anywhere.

Sometimes regulation starts with the smallest tools.

Today we honor World Day of Prayer 🙏🏼

This day is a beautiful reminder that prayer is one of the oldest & most powerful ways humanity connects with the sacred.

Across the world, people from many cultures, traditions, & faiths believe in the power of prayer — each in their own language, each in their own way — yet all sending their intentions into the same sky.

Prayer is not only words spoken aloud, but the quiet whisper of the heart. It is the gratitude we offer when we wake in the morning. It is the tears we release when life feels heavy. It is the hope we carry for our families, our communities, & for the healing of the Earth.

In ancestral teachings, prayer is relationship. It is how we speak with Creator, how we honor the ancestors, & how we remember that we are never truly alone.

Today I invite you to take a moment to pause & offer a prayer for the world ...

Pray for peace where there is conflict.

Pray for healing where there is suffering.

Pray for wisdom for those who guide our communities.

Pray for the protection of Mother Earth & all living beings.

Even the smallest whispers carry power. When many hearts come together in intention, it creates a ripple of compassion that moves far beyond what we can see ...

May all of our prayers rise like smoke to the heavens, carried by the winds of love 💙

I Thank You,
Grandmother Flordemayo 🌿
