Meet Shaniah! We're celebrating one of our incredible Supported Employment participants whose enthusiasm and drive light up every room she walks into. Shaniah recently landed a job as a hostess at IHOP, where her bright personality shines. She loves greetings guests, cleaning menus, rolling silverware, and helping assemble to-go orders, and her positivity has quickly become a gift to her coworkers and customers alike. We're grateful for partners like IHOP, who thoughtfully customized her role to support both her strengths and their team's needs. Thanks to this collaboration, Shaniah has found a place where she truly feels at home. Outside of work, Shaniah is a passionate advocate. She attends disability-focused community events, speaks up for others who share her experience, and has event written two books to inspire and bring positivity to the world around her. We're so proud of you, Shaniah! Keep shining and sharing your story!

Leaders from across Hampton Roads gathered at VersAbility Resources for the December Hampton Roads Caucus meeting, where regional priorities took center stage — from affordable housing and transportation to military affairs, healthcare, resiliency and tax policy.

We were honored to welcome these policymakers, local government partners and community leaders into our Hampton location for meaningful dialogue and collaborative problem-solving.

VersAbility Resources’ 2025 Annual Fundraising Gala raised an unprecedented $210,000, marking the most successful event in the organization’s history!

VersAbility Resources is pleased to announce that TowneBank has made a transformational $500,000 investment to advance the expansion of VersAbility TECH (Train, Educate, Certify, Hire), an innovative, first-of-its-kind workforce hub designed to prepare people with disabilities alongside people of all abilities for high-demand careers in shipbuilding, cybersecurity, logistics and manufacturing.

The gift, one of the largest single donations in VersAbility’s history, underscores TowneBank’s deep commitment to strengthening inclusive workforce opportunities across the region.
