TUESDAY ALERT: Your arms are filing complaints in advance.

Tomorrow (Tuesday, April 28) at CrossFit Fort Monroe we’re back for Bench Press Week 13… which means controlled reps, building strength, and then 👀… a max effort moment where things get very real, very fast.

Then… surprise 🎉 we keep the shoulder party going. Think fast rounds, jumping, pressing, and that special kind of burn where your arms just… stop listening.

It’s quick. It’s spicy. It’s giving “I’ll just shake it out” every 30 seconds energy.

Good news: it’s only 10 minutes.
Bad news: it’s a very long 10 minutes.

Show up. Press something heavy. Then press through life choices.

MONDAY WARNING: Legs first… then everything else falls apart.

Tomorrow (Monday, April 27) at CrossFit Fort Monroe we’re back on our squat program… Week 13 👀 which means things are getting real.

We’ve got back squats on a clock (because pressure builds character)… and yes, there’s a max effort moment waiting for you at the end. Choose bravery. Or regret. Your call.

Then 👀… we hit a longer burner. Think running… think classic CrossFit vibes… think “this seemed like a good idea 10 minutes ago.”

It’s steady. It’s sneaky. It’s the kind of workout that doesn’t look scary… until it absolutely is.

Good news: you’ll feel accomplished.
Bad news: stairs will feel personal later.

Saturday = cardio… but make it aggressive.

We’ve got two chances to get after it tomorrow (7am & 9am), and let’s just say… if you like running, you’re in luck. If you don’t like running… you’re still in luck. There’s just more of it.

This one’s got a little bit of everything—engine work, some “why are my legs like this,” and a few moments where you’ll consider making eye contact with the clock like it personally offended you. It’s the kind of workout where pacing matters… until it doesn’t.

Show up, bring your grit, and maybe a backup set of lungs. You’re gonna need ‘em.

Friday, April 24th: Legs, lungs, and poor decision-making. 😅

We’re kicking things off with some deadlifts that start from a full stop—no bouncing, no cheating, just you and the bar having an honest conversation about strength.

Then… we take it for a ride. And by ride, I mean a workout that will have your legs questioning everything and your lungs filing formal complaints. It’s one of those “this seems fine at the start” situations that quickly turns into “who programmed this?”

But hey—it’s Friday. Empty the tank, earn your weekend, and maybe plan your post-workout meal now because you’re going to deserve it.

Thursday, April 23rd: We’d like to introduce you to your new personality—barbell cycling. 😅

We’re starting off smooth and technical, dialing in some clean + jerk combos that make you feel strong, powerful, and briefly like you have your life together.

Then… things escalate. Quickly. There’s a classic waiting for you that looks simple on paper and then immediately humbles you in real life. Think grip, lungs, and a serious commitment to not putting the bar down (your brain will have opinions about this).

It’s one of those days where you and the barbell have a long, meaningful conversation… and the barbell wins a few rounds.

Show up, stay unbroken (or at least pretend you meant to), and let’s get after it.

Wednesday: the day we casually throw weight overhead and pretend it’s normal. 😅

We’re dialing in some Olympic lifting—smooth, controlled, and just enough to make you feel like a professional for about 3 seconds… before gravity humbles you.

Then it’s go-time. Expect fast feet, overhead stability, and that moment where your brain says “this is fine” while your shoulders strongly disagree.

It’s quick, it’s spicy, and it’s one of those workouts where pacing is a suggestion until it isn’t.

Come for the lifts, stay because your jump rope is judging you.

Tuesday: “It’s deload week,” they said… it’ll be relaxing, they said. 😏

Sure, the bench press is taking it a little easier today—but then we decided to run about it. And by “about it,” we mean multiple rounds of cardio mixed with just enough upper body and legs to keep things interesting.

It’s one of those workouts where you start off confident… and then 4 minutes later you’re negotiating with yourself like, “Okay, just one more round and I’ll be a better person.”

Don’t worry, you get rest built in—so you can catch your breath, rethink your strategy, and then do it all over again.

Show up, move well, and remember: deload week just means we’re being strategic about the chaos.

Ahhh the many thoughts and expressions of a CrossFitter during a workout.

We kept it PG for IG but chances are if you’re thinking it, someone else has probably said it before during class.
