Franklin General Hospital will have four new faces in their surgery department and specialty clinic at the end of next month, and FGH Surgical Services & Specialty Clinics Manager Ellen Scholl said they couldn't be more excited.
The following surgeons are set to begin at FGH mid to late January: Dr. Adam Hamilton, who specializes in orthopedics; Dr. Jeffrey Dikis, who specializes in foot and ankle care; and Dr. Stephen Van Buren and Dr. Alison Wilson, both of whom specialize in general surgery and endoscopy.
"My excitement definitely surrounds the opportunities that this will open for those within our community and the surrounding areas," said Scholl. "Orthopedics, for example — we have been able to offer minor orthopedic cases for years, but I’m excited to expand this service line to shoulder scopes for rotator cuff injuries all the way to hip and knee replacements."
The new providers are coming from the McFarland Clinic through an agreement between the two facilities. While their hours will be part-time at first, Scholl said they hope to eventually expand their availability to patients in Hampton.
