Some of our indigo was accidentally harvested this morning, so our VAFARMS program decided to see if the fresh leaves would work as the dye we expected later this season. VOILA!! Vanessa is true blue TALMAR with the indigo hands to prove it.

Lake Roland is offering a “secrets of the serpentine” (rocks, soil, plants in the park) workshop Wednesday at 11. The naturalist asked us to spread the word that this program is designed to be inclusive of people with disabilities. If you struggling figuring out how to request accommodations, email TALMAR and we’ll let them know.

It’s raining cats and dogs out there! But we started our morning harvesting some beautiful flowers. Josh made a bouquet that served as the centerpiece for the Thursday art class. The rain storm started as Ekat introduced our VAFARMS participants to a sound bath. Stay safe and dry this afternoon.
