I spent a lot of my life powering through.
Trying to heal so I could endure more.
Toughen up. Stretch myself. Stay longer.

But lately I’ve been wondering what if that was never the point.

What if healing actually makes you more sensitive.
Not so you suffer more, but so you can tell sooner when something is wrong.
So you can feel the cost before you disappear.
So you can get the hell out of something that’s been harming you.
