Responsibilities:
• Supervise the test subject in collecting their own samples while maintaining social distancing (minimum 6 feet). Collect the sample if the patient is unable to self-swab.
• Accurate and timely laboratory processing of the specimens according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
• Documentation of all components of the testing process according to manufacturer requirements
• Communicate positive results to supervisor and/or patient
• Responsible for opening/closing procedures, and all duties associated with these functions.
• Assist patients in a courteous and professional manner.
• Inventory, receive, and stores supplies as defined
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient, clinical, and university information and data.
• Adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
• Follow all established safety and PPE standards: donning and doffing PPE, hazardous waste disposal, COVID safety precautions, universal precautions
• Set up and break down testing station
• Ability to utilize required PPE in accordance with CDC guidelines
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Management reserves the right to add or change position responsibilities at any time.
Requirements:
• Knowledge of COVID testing via nasal as well as saliva swab sample collection.
• Ability to use databases, email, and perform data entry
• Punctual, responsible and able to work with limited supervision
• Possess professional demeanor
• Excellent oral communication and strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work in a self-directed and organized manner
• Reliable transportation required
• Candidate must successfully complete required all online training
• Observe all safety protocols
