📣Now Hiring: Front Desk Administrator / Medical Secretary

Hanover Family Practice Associates is seeking an organized, dependable Front Desk Administrator/Medical Secretary to support our busy medical office. Epic experience is preferred.

About the Role
This position is responsible for welcoming patients, handling phones, scheduling appointments, managing insurance and billing tasks, preparing new patient files, posting payments, and supporting both clinical and administrative teams. Hours range from 24–40 per week, typically 4–6 days as needed.

Key Responsibilities
• Greet patients, update insurance, collect co-pays, and manage check-in/check-out
• Schedule new and existing patient visits, specialist appointments, and testing
• Handle phone calls, call backs, and relay accurate information to patients
• Process payments, post daily charges, and prepare deposits
• Verify insurance, obtain prior authorizations, manage referrals, and assist with prescription refills
• Support workers’ compensation documentation and claim accuracy
• Maintain records, prepare charts, sort mail, copy medical documents, and manage office supplies
• Assist with quality assurance reports, PCMH tasks, and insurance incentive programs
• Provide general administrative support, including basic IT issues and lab/x-ray ordering

Qualifications
• Prior office or medical office experience preferred
• Strong computer, communication, and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and work well within a team
• Knowledge of medical terminology and workers’ compensation procedures is a plus
