November is Home Care Month and we were thrilled to recognize some of our best caregivers at the Pennsylvania Homecare Association's Direct Care Worker of the Year awards luncheon earlier this week. According to PHA, "Each year, we recognize individuals whose compassion, steadiness, and skill allow Pennsylvanians to remain safely at home. This year’s honorees represent the very best of home-based care."

It was an absolute honor to watch our caregiver Joy receive a regional award. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all of our exceptional nominees: Jenifer and Sara from Hanover, Joy and Cyndy from York, and Brandon and Kimberly from Lancaster. We are deeply proud of the compassion and dedication you all bring to Visiting Angels!

Yesterday, during Care at Home Month, we celebrated the extraordinary caregivers honored at PHA’s 2025 Direct Care Worker of the Year Awards.

Each year, we recognize individuals whose compassion, steadiness, and skill allow Pennsylvanians to remain safely at home. This year’s honorees represent the very best of home-based care:

Statewide Winner

Regional Winners
• Eastern Region: Marilyn S., Visiting Nurse Association Community Services
• Central Region: Joy W., Visiting Angels of York
• Western Region: Tamara H. Caring Mission Home Care

They were selected from more than 170 nominations submitted by 113 home care agencies across the Commonwealth. Their stories remind us what true service looks like. They lift up families, preserve dignity, and bring comfort in moments when it is needed most.

We are grateful to every caregiver who was nominated this year. Your work keeps Pennsylvanians safe, supported, and able to live where they feel most at home.
