🌟 DSP Monday Spotlight: Betty Be**er! 🌟

This week we celebrate Betty Be**er from the Southwest Region, hometown Bedford! Betty brings patience, creativity, and a huge heart to everything she does. She lights up when the person she supports bowls a strike and cheers — those little moments of independence are everything. 🎳

Betty loves crafts and creativity in her free time — diamond art, 3D printing, LEGO builds, and other crafts — and she records Minecraft LEGO build videos with her grandkids and enjoys gaming with her granddaughters while babysitting. She’s all about teaching independence and celebrating every win.

Thank you, Betty, for your dedication, joy, and creativity! 💫

This week we’re celebrating Audra Alley-Short, a dedicated DSP from our East Central Region! 💙

Audra’s caring heart shines through in everything she does—from helping individuals reach their goals to bringing creativity and joy into her work. Outside of Focus, she loves spending time with her husband, family, and grandkids, working on woodworking projects, and making festive wreaths for every holiday.

Audra also shares a special bond with her service animal, who keeps her calm and comforted wherever she goes. 🐾💖

Thank you, Audra, for your compassion, dedication, and the positivity you bring to everyone around you. We’re so grateful to have you as part of the Focus family! 💫

We wanted to take a moment to share this powerful story from 1 Act of Kindness about the Kostenbauder family, which includes our very own staff member, Caleb Kostenbauder.

The family’s story is one of perseverance, faith, and community support. After years of giving back and opening their hearts to others, they’re now receiving an incredible gift — a new, accessible home built through the generosity of 1 Act of Kindness and their volunteers.

We’re so happy to see Caleb and his family being recognized and supported in such a meaningful way. Their testimony is a reminder that compassion and kindness truly make a difference. 💛

🎃👻 Halloween Dump! 👻🎃

Focus Behavioral Health loves Halloween — and this week was full of spooky fun!
On Tuesday, we joined in on the Johnstown Halloween Parade, showing off our creative costumes and community spirit. Then today, the West Central Halloween Party brought even more fun with themed games, tasty treats, and pumpkin painting for everyone to enjoy. 🎨🍬

We’re so thankful for our amazing staff and participants who make these events such a hit every year. Until next Halloween… we’ll be counting down the days! 🕸️🧡

🎃 What an incredible day in Windber! 🍁 A big thank-you to Windber Borough for hosting such a fun and festive Halloween parade — we were thrilled to be part of it! 👻

Our Focus Behavioral Health crew showed up in style and even took home the award for Best Group Costume! 🏆 After the parade, we celebrated with some pizza, laughter, and quality time together before heading back out into the community.

Nothing beats teamwork, community spirit, and a perfect fall day! 💛
