Maynard House

Maynard House A guesthouse for hospital patients and their families since 1978.

Maynard House is a home away from home with eight bedrooms, shared bathrooms, full kitchen, living room, and dining area. We are a low cost option for people traveling a distance to medical treatment or to stay close to a hospitalized loved one. Patients of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital and the VA Medical Center in WRJ, VT are eligible to stay.

We are so grateful to the Dartmouth Club of the Upper Valley for spending time with us and preparing such a wonderful dinner for our guests! ❤️

The delicious manicotti and sweet potato casserole filled the house with warmth and comfort, and it truly meant so much to the families staying with us. After long days at the hospital, a home-cooked meal like this makes a real difference.

🚧 Progress Update: Our Chimney Repair Is Underway! 🧱

Thanks to the generosity of our community, work has officially begun on the Maynard House chimney repair project! This important repair will help ensure that our house remains safe, warm, and welcoming for the guests who rely on us while receiving care in our community.

Our chimney has served families for many years, but it recently needed urgent attention. With the help of Chimney Savers and the support of donors like you, we’re making important progress.

We’d like to extend a special thank you to Granite United Way for their generous contribution toward this project. We are also incredibly grateful to Chimney Savers for providing their services at a discounted rate, helping us stretch every dollar further.

Partnerships like these make it possible for Maynard House to continue supporting families when they need it most. 💙
