Yes, older adults should stay up to date on vaccinations too! The CDC recommends people 60 years or older be immunized for illnesses like flu, pneumonia, COVID-19 and shingles 🦠😷🤒

Urinary Tract Infections (UTls) are a common concern in the populations we serve. UTIs contribute to 8-10% of all hospitalizations in the US according to the National Institutes of Health.

Missing even mild symptoms can have real consequences , including severe infection and hospitalization. Timely observation, clear communication, and interventions are essential parts of our practice. Infection prevention is a critical aspect of the care we deliver We help our patients avoid unnecessary risk as part of our commitment to quality care at home.

📣 Meet Whitney Prather – Our Patient Care Manager!
We are thrilled to introduce Whitney Prather, who joined us as Patient Care Manager in August 2024. While she may be new to home health, she brings 7 years of diverse nursing experience in bedside care, procedural nursing, and outpatient dialysis.

🏡 Whitney says her favorite chapter so far has been home health:

“There is a different type of joy that comes from knowing you are helping those directly in the community that you were raised in. It is very rewarding knowing we are able to provide care to patients in the comfort of their homes, helping them regain independence and reduce their hospitalization risk.”
Outside the office, you can find Whitney on the golf course, out boating and camping, or spending time with her sweet son and husband. ⛳🏕️👨‍👩‍👦
