Weight Loss Tips That Work!
Anyone who is overweight wants to be able to lose weight, but did you know that you can promote weight loss and healthier eating without actually going on any kind of diet? It is possible and it has helped many people overcome their fear of a strict diet. If you want to learn some of these ways, read on.
1. Always make sure that you are full when you go grocery shopping . If you shop on an empty stomach, everything will look delicious, and you will want to purchase a bunch of unhealthy snacks for yourself. Having a full tummy can prevent this need to stuff the cart full of everything that looks and sounds good.
2. When you’re fixing your plate, use a smaller plate, give yourself smaller portions, and dress up your plate. Studies have shown that when foods are artistically plated, the one eating it tends to eat less.
3. If you are eating, concentrate on your food. If you are distracted by your phone or the television, you will tend to eat more. If you are easily distracted, sit at the table with nothing on or around you and focus solely on your own plate.
You may notice that you shed extra weight just by utilizing the above tactics.

The dilemmas of Over 50 weight gain
By the time we reach the age of 50 our bodies are burning almost 200 less calories a day because our metabolism has slowed considerably. To add insult to injury, we lose a pound of our calorie burning muscle tissue each year.
We’ve all heard that we must burn more calories than we consume, which means we must become accustomed to counting calories. Unfortunately, if our metabolism is slower it will be difficult to determine the rate at which we will burn the calories we take in.
Naturally, we’ve all been advised to increase our exercise activity. Regrettably some of us do not have the time to exercise or we have medical issues that inhibit us from exercising.
However, I’ve discovered that the way to boost the metabolism is by promoting an ‘Optimized Liver’.

Discover the ‘missing piece’ in weight management.
There is a distinct connection between liver health and body weight. Did you know that the liver plays a pivotal role in breaking down fats and producing energy. If you have stubborn belly fat, a slow metabolism, and low energy you’re probably suffering from a ‘Compromised Liver’. Your liver is a ‘Fat Burning Furnace’ that determines whether everything you eat, despite if it’s healthy or not, gets burned as energy or stored as unsightly fat. When the liver is compromised and unable to metabolize fats properly, it slows down metabolism. With a compromised liver no matter what diet you choose, or how much will-power you have weight loss is virtually impossible.

Don’t jump from targeted physical exercises to magical supplements and/or medical treatments to reduce fat in persistent areas any longer.

Did You Know...?
Your liver determines if the food you eat, regardless of how healthy or unhealthy it is, will get burned as energy or if it will be stored as unsightly body fat. By purifying and optimizing your liver, you can naturally skyrocket energy, fat-burning and metabolism.
Bile produced only in the Liver breaks down and absorbs fat. When our Liver is compromised we tend to store fat (especially around the midsection).

Here’s some food for thought!
There is a right way and a wrong way to sustainably lose weight. I’d like to offer some practical reasons as to why those pounds may not be coming off, or why they won't stay off once you've lost them:
You are starving yourself! In order to lose weight, cutting calories is a good idea. The problem is many people either cut too many calories or eat the wrong types of food.
This may cause your body to go into starvation mode, packing on as much fat as it can from the limited food it receives.
In order to get past this, try limiting your calories to smaller doses, allowing your body the time it needs to adjust.
You may be trying too hard, a lot of people get it in their head that they want to lose weight, so they go crazy trying to get into shape overnight.
They hit the gym hard, they eat nothing but salad and they stare at the scale every day, telling themselves they haven't done enough.
This is actually counter-productive and causes most people to quit. Allow yourself to slowly work your way into being healthy, instead of jumping in headfirst.
Our weight fluctuates from day to day and just because you didn't drop any pounds that day, it doesn't mean you didn't burn fat. Keep in mind for most adults, two pounds a week is average and healthy.
Weighing yourself every day won't do anything but cause you to feel inadequate and give up.

Fat and Weight Loss
For a long time, it was thought that any type of fat in your diet was a bad thing and would just make you fatter. In recent years, however, it has come to light that some fat in your diet is necessary for you to be able to reach your weight loss goals in a healthy way. With that being said, read on below for some facts about fat and weight loss.
Essential for Normal Development and Growth
Some fat in your diet is actually important so that you can develop and grow the right way. Some fats protect our organs, cell membranes, and provides us with the much-needed energy to actually get out there and try to turn that fat into lean muscle.
Not All Fat is Created Equal
Just because you need some fat in your diet does not mean that you need to go overboard with it. Deep fried hot dogs are never going to be good for you, and that is a fact, especially when you are trying to lose weight or get in the best shape of your life. Remember that the fat you eat can either help to make you lean and mean, or it can lead to obesity and disease instead. While some fats like pizza, hamburgers, and chips have their place, it's only in moderation that it won't hurt you. In other words, don't eat pizza, hamburgers, and French fries every day, but once or twice a week in moderation can't hurt you.
Unsaturated or Saturated Fats
There has long been a debate over whether unsaturated or saturated fats are worse for you. It is said that if you are trying to lose weight, it's best to stick to unsaturated fats instead. Make sure that you look carefully at the labels of everything you eat so that you get the right kind of fat each time and every time.
These are just a few facts about fats that you might want to know before you exclude them from your weight loss goals. Some of them are good for you, and some of them just aren't.

Tips For Speeding Up Metabolism After 40

When it comes to getting older and especially as a woman, your metabolism is sure to slow down. This can wreak havoc with your weight and may make it difficult to maintain or lose weight.
It’s ideal to keep your weight within a certain range so you will reap the benefits of good health. Knowing tips that will work to speed up your metabolism after the age of 40 may be of extreme help to you.

Tip #1: Exercise
By engaging in regular exercise, this can help get your metabolism to move at a faster rate. There are a wide variety of exercises you can do that range from going on a power walk to doing some cardio at your local gym.
Whatever way you get moving is sure to help you burn calories at a faster rate and can improve your health at the same time.
Additionally, adding some strength training to your regimen will work to build muscle which will burn calories at a much faster rate.

Tip #2: Drink Plenty Of Water
You are sure to have heard the numerous benefits of drinking water and one of the largest ones is keeping your body well-hydrated.
However, studies show that drinking cold water can even work to increase your metabolism.
This is an ideal way for you to keep your body healthy, burn more calories and may even assist with you feeling better throughout the day.
When you are dehydrated, you may feel more tired and sluggish, and this can make it challenging to accomplish all the things you need to do daily.
Consider drinking a glass of ice water before each meal to aid in reducing your appetite. This can also be beneficial to your skin as well and will assist in the reduction of wrinkles.

Tip #3: Eat Often
When it comes to the amount of food you eat, you will want to monitor your portions. Of course, it’s easy to eat too much food at one setting, but this will certainly cause you to gain weight and not lose any!
However, if you eat small meals throughout the course of the day, you will reap the benefits of having a faster metabolism. This is an ideal way to help speed up the rate at which your body burns calories after the age of 40.

Ways Women Can Stay Motivated When Addressing Weight Issues.

Getting motivated and staying that way is something that plagues many people who strive to lose weight. You have to stay motivated if you want to see results at the end of the day.

It is not going to be easy and it likely is not going to be fun, but when you see the results you are going to realize that it was all worth it.

Motivation might seem elusive to many people out there, but it is actually in reach. If you follow these simple ways to stay motivated when you want to reach a healthy weight you will look and feel better about yourself in no time.

Here are some suggestions;

Set a Schedule
One of the most important things you can do when you want to reach a healthy weight is set a schedule. Most people would say that schedules get boring and can actually deter you, but the opposite is true.
If you have a schedule, you know exactly what you need to get done and work your schedule in a positive way. Here are a couple of ways to get a schedule that is practical and effective:

Be realistic
Make sure you include day to day activities that do not include weight loss activities, it will help you plan for time. Write your plan down and post it somewhere that you will see it every single day.

Stay Positive
Positivity is the key to being successful in everything you do, including weight loss. If you have a negative attitude, you will not have the drive you need to make your weight loss dream a reality.
If you ever start to get negative thoughts push them out of the back of your mind and keep going towards your goal, it will pay off.

Remember "Consistency is the key"!

Ever heard of "Core Body Temperature"?
Core body temperature is the physical state at which the internal organs and bodily systems function at an optimal level. The ideal core body temperature has traditionally been stated as 98.6°F (37.7°C).
We all possess individual physiological factors that contribute to the variability of a healthy core body temperature, including the Base Metabolic Rate (BMR), the rate at which the body consumes energy while at rest.
A lower body temperature reflects a lower metabolic rate.
The lower the core body temperature, the slower the metabolism.
