Lora Gomboc, Chief Operating Officer and Nursing Home Administrator, was in Washington, DC representing Peter Becker Community this week for LeadingAge Lobby Day.
A special thank you to LeadingAge and LeadingAge PA for organizing this opportunity to meet with members of the Senate and House of Representatives.
During these important conversations, members discussed key issues impacting our residents and community, including Medicare and workforce challenges.
As Lora shared, “It’s essential that policymakers hear directly from those of us on the front lines. The decisions being made impact not just our organizations, but the care, dignity, and quality of life for the older adults we serve every day.”
We are proud to have a voice at the table and to advocate for the future of our community. 🤝

April is Occupational Therapy Month, and it’s the perfect time to focus on maintaining independence in everyday life. 💙
Occupational Therapy helps residents safely and confidently perform daily activities, from getting dressed to improving balance and reducing pain. With personalized support and adaptive techniques, small changes can make a big impact.
If you or a loved one could benefit from additional support, consider speaking with your physician about a referral. Our therapy team is always here for our residents to help guide the way.

A signature moment for a growing community. ✍️🏡
Our team had the opportunity to leave their mark on the Maplewood Expansion by signing the building, a meaningful way to be part of this exciting new chapter at Peter Becker Community.
Each name represents the dedication, care, and heart that continue to shape our community every day. As Maplewood rises, so does our commitment to creating a place residents are proud to call home.
Here’s to growth, new beginnings, and the people who make it all possible. 💙

This past weekend, Peter Becker Community was proud to host the Philadelphia Division for a day filled with connection, learning, and shared passion. 🚂
Guests enjoyed engaging clinics, time with noted Reading Railroad author Dale Woodland, and a variety of activities including model displays, raffles, and more. Our Model Railroad was also open for visitors to explore and enjoy.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, and to our team who helped make the morning extra welcoming with coffee, refreshments, and plenty of hospitality.
It was a wonderful day bringing enthusiasts together right here at Peter Becker Community. 💙

Creativity is always in motion in our Woodworkers Shop. 🪵✨
Rick Layer was recently spotted at the lathe, skillfully turning an oak platter, while Joe Bondi crafted an incredible wooden vase made from 190 individual pieces of maple and cherry. The piece is beautifully accented with a padauk center rim and finished with polyurethane, making it a meaningful gift for a family member.
From passion projects to heartfelt gifts, our residents continue to create pieces that tell a story.

Our residents in Personal Care and Skilled Nursing love spending time in the garden. It is a place to connect, nurture, and find joy. 🪴✨
This spring, you can help bring their garden beds to life! Every gift helps create a space where residents can enjoy the outdoors, nurture plants, and share meaningful moments.
