🌟 Student Spotlight 🌟

Meet our amazing student whose journey began when her daughter was diagnosed with scoliosis. Yoga was recommended as part of her daughter’s treatment, so they stepped onto the mat together — and Danielle was instantly hooked. Not only did she witness incredible benefits for her daughter, but she began feeling them deeply in her own body and mind.

Through her practice, she’s learned to slow down, breathe, and tune into the powerful connection between mind and body. What started as exercise has grown into a lifestyle — one that grounds her, supports her spine health, and keeps stress at bay both mentally and physically.

Her motivation? Feeling her best. “If I don’t do yoga regularly, I don’t feel as good,” she says. “Yoga is the best stress reliever.”

Her advice to anyone on their yoga journey:
✨ Don’t compare your practice to others
✨ Explore different styles of yoga
✨ Have fun and stay present

One of the most meaningful parts of her experience has been the community. After practicing alone at home for years, joining in-person classes opened up a feeling of connection she didn’t realize she was missing. “I’ve met some great people at yoga. It’s made me feel more connected to my community.”

🌟Student Spotlight: Anna🌟

I first began practicing yoga 3 years ago while I was going through chemotherapy. A friend of mine started offering classes in a private space that I was familiar with, and I just jumped on it. It seemed like it was exactly what I needed, and I was right. At first, it was a gentle flow once a week, then I started looking for yoga everywhere I went. I began practicing with different teachers, with different styles, and experiencing more aspects of yoga, like meditation and inner balance. The benefits of yoga extend beyond the mat for me; the strategies taught in yoga help me get through difficult moments in my real life, at work, and at home. I can calm and ground myself using my breath and reflecting on my meditation. I was able to pull my best friend into yoga as well and having her go through this journey with me has certainly helped motivate me to keep with my practice. I have met some wonderful women and men on my yoga journey who I am happy to call friends. I now practice at least once a day, sometimes it's just a quick meditation in the morning. Making time for myself is really the best part of yoga. I take myself away from the craziness of life and look inward, slow myself down, and appreciate every piece of me and those around me. I am looking forward to growing in my practice and, hopefully, at some point, I will be at the front of the class leading others onto a new path in life.

We’re so grateful to have Anna in our community and look forward to continuing to grow together. 💛🧘‍♀️
