Hi, I want to provide an announcement…

There will be a Change of schedule for support groups for November and due to Thanksgiving holiday.

For your this month the parent group will be held on the third Saturday of the month and not the last one as people should have time to spend with their families and relax.

But the typical schedule will be what is noted below for each month:

First Saturday of the month - groups will be held from 5-6 pm for Adults (17 and older) with ADHD+ any other comorbid condition.

Last Saturday of the month - groups will be held from 5-6 pm for Parents of children diagnosed with ADHD+ comorbid conditions.

Please text the phone (956) 366-9312 to confirm you are arriving to which group.

Space is limited so please RSVP. Information provided is free and an opportunity for people to share, learn, and improve.

When you arrive, you will be asked to sign in as sign in sheets are to be provided to CHADD for a chapter to be created.

If you have questions, please reach out and let me know. Once groups are more organized we may ask for donations for refreshments but for now groups will be free and no need for donation.

We will have water and coffee -decaf only- available for attendees.

Have a beautiful day and look forward to seeing you in groups 🙂

FYI to my therapy colleagues/community partners- Please share the resource if you may. Thanks for all the work you do to serve our communities 🙂

Here is the description.

Financial challenges can have widespread effects – creating emotional distress and anxiety, limiting social interactions, and negatively impacting physical activity and sleep. Additionally, financial challenges impact feelings of purpose, meaning, and the ability to maintain our connection to self, others, and nature. So many factors impact our ability to manage money. Many have been told that it is unrealistic to plan financial wellness goals and they are stigmatized and discouraged by their experiences of financial struggles, leading to hopelessness. Financial education and financial literacy support can help people develop skills and learn about what they can do to get out of this seemingly unmanageable financial burden.

Learn about Building Financial Wellness, a peer developed program that empowers people to increase their sense of control over their personal finances, develop the knowledge they need to better manage the financial resources they have, and use tools to improve their overall financial situation. Learn how this program helps people come together to learn and share experiences to reframe self-defeating narratives. Hear inspirational testimonies from people who have developed and benefited from the program. Additionally, learn how and where to access and share the building financial wellness curriculum to build hope and empowerment.
