Fevers can be stressful for parents, and while many are a normal part of your child’s body fighting an infection, some fevers should be evaluated by a provider.

- Fever lasting more than 2–3 days
- Temperature of 101°F or higher
- Sore throat, cough, chills, or fatigue
- Not eating or drinking well
- Not acting like themselves
- Any fever in infants under 3 months

If you’re checking off one or more of these, it may be time to bring your child in. A proper exam and testing help us identify the cause and guide the right treatment — avoiding unnecessary medications and helping your child feel better sooner. 💛
