2025 surveys have revealed alarming statistics about rising prescription costs:

– 25% of U.S. adults say they (or someone they live with) struggle to afford necessary medication (KFF Survey).
– Almost 30% of prescriptions written by doctors are NOT filled by the patient at all (IQVIA Poll).
– 20% of U.S. adults report not taking a prescribed medication due to cost (KFF Survey).

Why? Reasons range from out-of-pocket costs to confusion about coverage to outright insurance denials, but all boil down to a lack of transparency in the healthcare industry. There are significant barriers blocking people from getting the medications they need.

Almost 90% of Americans say they are satisfied with their health insurance, according to a recent article from Benefits Pro. Despite this, 73% have still skipped or delayed care due to out-of-pocket costs.

The group most unhappy with the current system? People with employer-based coverage. 88% of workers with employer-based coverage graded the current system a C or below. It seems worker satisfaction ends where the out-of-pocket costs begin.
