Signs Of Serenity graciously accepted a financial donation during the Flags Of Honor Event from Gunnys Warriors. So greatly appreciate it as our mission continues.
Service dog training went well, I am so proud of Black Jack as we pushed his social interactions level futher than he has ever been.

The plan and why I wanted the passenger version of the Ford Transit Connect. This Harmar AL600 Wheel Chair Lift fits this van with more head room than the Dodge Caravan. Still need to level, square and wire the power harness.

Hoping to aquire this passenger van and install a wheel chair in the back.

What I have learned as a Non Profit organization is donated items have to be free and clear without leans, and some items may not be in good order when donated. Some might function but likely require maintenance to be fully useful. Some are given with good intentions and some for personal recognition.

I have learned that most are minimal while a few are honest blessings given wholy. Some are simply tax breaks on items purchased and some are given with no expectations other than assisting in our public mission and nothing more. No fanfare.

The golf cart that was donated was given freely and functioned but not for long. We could have sold it for scrap or added it to the stack of projects. As it or at least the idea of it made sense to our mission, it was decided to repair it when it quite working. As it turned out, the batteries were orginal and the charger had failed. The sum total for repairs was going to be expensive. About $2000 was the best estimate for repairing or upgrading it either way.

I found a young man that would fix the cart and as it turned out he had an exact same model with the upgrades. He suggested we trade to save time. I have used for a month and the onboard charger failed. It caused the battery to lock down to protect itself.

A phone call to the young man was all it took to get an offer to test and repair what was needed. He also apologized that I was having difficulties and that if I brought the cart back in, he would make it right. I decided to bring him the charger and the battery as that would be easier to transport than the whole cart. He determined the charger to be faulty and replaced it with a new one and reset the battery. That is good Service, standing behind his product.

If you are in need of professional service of your electric golf cart I feel I can recommend his service in a positive review.

What a day! My old F250 the blue 4x4, left me stranded on the side of the road an hour away from home. Stalled and I was able to get it into the entry to a park where I had shade. I didn't have my help me, I have fallen and can't get up button not sure it would have worked anyway. I was doing all I could to keep my blood pressure down.I was blessed to be able to make a few calls before my cell phone realized there was no signal to be had.

One call to my Son, in recovery from hernia surgery and already scheduled back for work had a few hours and jumped to help me continue my mission of getting the battery reset and replace the charger recently purchased club car repairs/trade and have lunch with me. He picked up a nail in a tire with a solution to that problem coming by way of the second call.

Second call to my Nephew at work, who was able to arrange to get a long enough trailer to haul the crew cab long bed 4x4 found on road dead. He also snatched his tire plug kit before heading to my point of break down. He arrived to my broken truck before my son and I returned. He also somehow got the truck to start and get it loaded on the trailer solo. No explanation how but glad it did. My Son and I were able to locate my Nephew that had moved to a suitable place to park and wait for us. A quick shift of stuff from car to truck and a tire repair and everyone was headed back to their day I had interrupted.

I had enough daylight to reinstall and reassemble the cart, the plan for the day.

What is wrong with the Blue Ford truck is a problem for another day.

Thankful for my Son Nick Von Aschen and my Nephew Anthony Von Aschen for all they did for me today. I am blessed.
