The iron fencing along Fillmore Street...The Trustees have taken on a major restoration project of the iron fencing on the north side of the cemetery along Fillmore Street. Over time the fencing has become bent in places, rusted in places and has pieces missing. The fencing is being restored in sections. The first section, nearest the main entrance, is currently being restored. The company will return that section and take the remainder, section by section, until the work is completed. It is a $17,000.00 project. Contributions are welcome. We fund these projects from the restoration fund which is funded, in part, from the sale of burial/cremains spaces; memorial gifts; grants; etc. If you are so inclined to donate toward the project, you may send contributions to Friends of Harper Cemetery, INC., P. O. Box 106, Harpers Ferry, WV 25425...Friends is a IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. All gifts are appreciated.
