Pennsylvania Chiropractic Association

Pennsylvania Chiropractic Association PCA exists to inform, educate, and advocate on behalf of the Chiropractor and patient. Please contact the PCA directly and not through Facebook itself.

PCA advocates conservative care first as a verified strategy for safe and cost-effective health care for Pennsylvanians. The Pennsylvania Chiropractic Association (PCA) is an IRS 501(c)(6) non-profit corporation that is Pennsylvania's professional membership association for Chiropractors in the Commonwealth. With a long history of successful advocacy, PCA remains solely dedicated to the advancement of Chiropractic as a viable and cost-effective health care choice in Pennsylvania and throughout the USA. PCA is deeply committed to maintaining scope of practice through legislative and regulatory action on Capitol Hill. To that end, PCA retains lobbying and legal services to insure that all pertinent issues are properly, and where appropriate, aggressively addressed in the best interest of Pennsylvania's Chiropractors and their patients. The PCA wishes you and your family a very happy Thanksgiving filled rest, gratitude, and good alignment.

Here are a few Turkey Day Tips to get you through the holiday:
Lift the turkey with your legs, not your back. The bird might be heavy, but back pain is heavier.
Maintain proper posture during family debates. Your spine should not suffer while you defend your favorite football team.
Balance your plate the same way you balance your spine. Too much stuffing on one side can throw everything off.
After dessert, take a victory lap around the kitchen. Your hips and digestive tract will thank you.

With 2025 in the rearview and a brand-new year just on the horizon, our stress has a tendency to compound and overwhelm. During times of transition, try our favorite stress-busting tool: Stress Essential Calm. This potent daily supplement is formulated with L-theanine, as patented Suntheanine, and gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA). These two ingredients act as natural calming agents by increasing levels of GABA in the brain, which in turn decreases excitability and encourages relaxation.
😌 Now more than ever, it's important to get proper rest, relaxation, and tranquility. Achieve just that with Stress Essentials Calm.

Introducing Deep Dive — a new series on PCA Spinal Chat where we explore the topics that deserve more than a headline and we take a closer, evidence-focused look at the conversations shaping chiropractic care. The first two episodes are now live.

In Episode 1, we break down one of the most debated topics in healthcare: cervical manipulation and its alleged link to cervical artery dissection. The hosts walk through the research, expose the weaknesses in the evidence, and highlight what the data actually shows — including why long-held assumptions deserve a second look.
Episode 2 shifts to a landmark 2022 study on chiropractic care and opioid use in older adults. The discussion reveals how early chiropractic care can significantly reduce the likelihood of opioid prescriptions among Medicare beneficiaries with spinal pain, underscoring the growing role of non-pharmacological, evidence-based care.
These first two Deep Dives set the tone — thoughtful, research-driven, and centered on elevating the conversation around chiropractic.

And keep your eyes open — something big is coming soon for all things PCA Spinal Chat, stay tuned.
