This week the Character Essential is APPRECIATION. The focus this week is to help the children in all classrooms to think beyond and to see the beauty in nature, the good qualities in people and to understand just how fortunate they are to have the things that they have. Learning appreciation makes them thinl about shy they fell thankful and to express their appreciation for others.

Doing some Thanksgiving art with Toddler B! Today they made Turkeys in a Bag, where we put paint in a bag with their turkeys and let them move the paint around. This is a great sensory activity as well.

This weeks Character Essential is Contentment. Contentment is a feeling of happiness people have when they enjoy the things in their lives. To truly be content mens that a person is focused on the good things around him or her and not on the things he or she does not have.

Scribbling can represent both drawing and writing for children. All forms of scribbling are important to the development of drawing, writing, reading, and communicating.

We want to thank all of our staff and families who participated in the "Turkey in Disguise" project! There were so many amazing turkeys, it was truly hard to choose a top 10...so we chose a top 14!
