Stress is real and your body keeps the score. Stress will cause physical changes in your body like brain fog, scattered thinking, physical pain, weakened immune function, and even mimic depression and anxiety symptoms. That is why it is so important to identify when you have an overload of stress. How do you know if you are overloaded: Do you feel anger or other strong emotions out of proportion to the situation? Do you get headaches or have tension? Do you lose sleep? Have you had a major life change? Stress is normal and necessary, AND too much can cause problems that need addressed. Call us for a list of ways to reduce stress and/or set an appointment for therapy.

What is Self-talk? -a verbal expression of an internal position or belief - it expresses inner feelings, non-verbal thoughts, and intuitions about a situation.

Is it Normal? - yes, normal at all ages and even beneficial in some circumstances

Is talking to yourself Healthy? - Self-talk may improve control over a task, concentration, and performance. It may also enhance problem-solving skills.

What is Positive Self-Talk? - Encourages and reinforces positive beliefs about a person.

Engaging in positive self-talk may decrease anxiety and improve concentration and focus. It is natural for a person to have an internal monologue while engaging with tasks and processing thoughts and emotions.
