Organized in 1881, the Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association (PFDA) is one of the largest state funeral directors association in the nation, and a member of the National Funeral Directors Association. The Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association (PFDA) exists to inform and educate the funeral director, the public and government about the value of funeral service and licensed funeral directors on a pre-need, at need and post-need basis. It is our privilege to offer PFDA members and the public the most current and valuable information available on the state's funeral profession. License Renewal time has begun! If you need to check the status of your Child Abuse CE credits, you must login to your PALS account. You can look in the Continuing Education section, and if you have taken a course it will already show in your account.

PFDA MEMBERS - if you need any of your other CE credits taken through PFDA, email abby@pfda.org.

Last week Abby & Alisha went to visit our 2026 Convention location… KALAHARI!! 🐅🐘🦓

We are excited to be back at Kalahari Resorts next year, they’ve made many improvements/changes since our last convention there back in 2019. Including adding on a BRAND NEW Convention Center!

We honor those who lost their lives, and recognize law enforcement professionals’ and first responders’ heroic efforts.

Several PFDA Members and staff responded to the crash site of Flight 93 in Somerset County and assisted in efforts to bring peace and comfort to those who lost loved ones.

We have a special 9/11 display in our PFDA office, the picture of the names of the crew and passengers of Flight 93 and the container of soil is from that display.
