At the Claude Parrish Cancer Center, we’re reminded every day that early detection saves lives—and that no one fights alone. 💗

Breast cancer affects 1 in 8 women in her lifetime, but when it’s found early, the 5-year survival rate is over 99%.

This month, we honor the strength of our patients, celebrate survivors, and remember those we’ve lost. We also stand beside families, friends, and caregivers who show up every day with courage and love.

NARMC Welcomes Dr. Chen Huang to Claude Parrish Cancer Center: A Compassionate Leader in Cancer Care

North Arkansas Regional Medical Center is proud to welcome Dr. Chen Huang, a highly skilled Hematologist and Oncologist, to the Claude Parrish Cancer Center. With extensive experience in treating cancer and blood disorders, Dr. Huang is committed to providing cutting-edge, personalized care while ensuring that patients in North Central Arkansas receive world-class treatment close to home.

Dr. Huang completed her Internal Medicine Residency at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, New York, followed by a Hematology and Oncology Fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She specializes in a wide range of cancer treatments, including hematology diagnosis and treatment, immunotherapy, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, endocrine therapy, bone marrow biopsy management, genomic profiling, and solid tumor treatment.

Fluent in Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese, and English, Dr. Huang’s multilingual abilities enhance patient communication, ensuring that every patient and their family feel heard, understood, and supported throughout their care journey. She has worked extensively in both the United States and internationally, allowing her to connect with patients from diverse backgrounds and bring a global perspective to oncology care. Her dedication to rural healthcare aligns with NARMC’s mission of high-quality, accessible cancer care, ensuring that patients receive expert treatment without the need to travel far.

Jon Burnside, Director of RTI, expressed his enthusiasm for Dr. Huang’s arrival:

Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Huang enjoys traveling, spending time with her son, and caring for her dogs and cat.
