💖 February Fun with Pediatric Therapy! 💖
Love is in the air this month — and it’s the perfect time to sneak in some learning through play! Here are simple, therapist-approved activities you can try at home to support your child’s development in speech, occupational, and physical therapy.
🗣️ Speech Therapy Tip: “Love Letter Sounds”
Write simple words on paper hearts (cat, dog, mom, hop). Have your child practice saying each word and use it in a sentence.
👉 Builds vocabulary, articulation, and sentence formation.
✋ Occupational Therapy Tip: “Valentine Sensory Bin”
Fill a bin with rice or beans and hide small heart toys or letters inside. Let your child dig and find them using scoops or tweezers.
👉 Strengthens fine motor skills & sensory exploration.
🏃 Physical Therapy Tip: “Cupid’s Obstacle Course”
Create a fun obstacle course: hop like a bunny, crawl under tables, and balance while carrying a stuffed animal.
👉 Improves balance, coordination, and strength.
❤️ Bonus Tip:
The best therapy happens through play and connection. Spend time laughing, moving, and learning together!
