Sarah Howard is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been in the field working as a therapist for over 16 years. She holds a Master of Science in Counseling from Harding University, as well as a Bachelor of Science from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro and an Associate of Arts from Arkansas State University in Beebe. Throughout her career, she has worked with individuals facing anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, life transitions, trauma, and parenting struggles. She has a particular passion for supporting middle schoolers and teens as they navigate the unique challenges of adolescence. Her approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and rooted in helping people feel truly seen and understood. She loves helping clients work toward meaningful goals, and incorporates humor wherever possible, as she believes growth doesn’t always have to be serious. Outside of work, you will usually find Sarah spending time with her family and dogs, or enjoying the sunshine doing just about anything outdoors. Sarah is currently offering telehealth sessions for the practice. To schedule an appointment with Sarah, please call 870-204-5640.

Joshua Estes is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has over 5 years working in the mental health field. He earned his Master of Social Work from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and his Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Missouri. Joshua has worked across both inpatient and outpatient behavioral health settings. He has provided therapy to individuals ranging in age from six to ninety-six and brings a deep respect for the diverse experiences and needs of each client. While he specializes in working with adolescents and young adults, he welcomes individuals of all ages into his practice. His therapeutic approach blends evidence-based structure with warmth and flexibility. Joshua uses Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as his primary modalities, while also integrating trauma-informed and person-centered techniques. This combination allows him to tailor his interventions to meet clients exactly where they are, whether they are seeking support for anxiety, depression, life transitions, or more complex diagnoses. Joshua has worked extensively with clients experiencing social phobia, agoraphobia, disruptive mood dysregulation disorder, bipolar disorder (I and II), PTSD, adjustment disorders, and traits associated with cluster B personality disorders. His goal is to provide clients with practical tools that foster resilience, reduce emotional suffering, and build confidence in navigating everyday life. With a calm and supportive presence, Joshua is committed to walking alongside his clients on their path to healing, clarity, and personal growth. Joshua is seeing clients in person at our Rogers location, and one day a week at our Harrison location. He is also well-versed with telehealth therapy, but prefers to see his clients in person. To schedule an appointment with Joshua, please call 479-777-2475.

The Holistic Psychologist 💜

“Doing better than the last generation” is a natural human desire. Many people strive to give their children what they didn’t receive. And almost always this is focused around money/the material.

If there’s one thing I hope to bring awareness around it’s that the greatest gift a child can ever receive is a parent who can emotionally regulate. A parent who can emotionally regulate is patient, open for connection, and maybe most impotently allows the child to fail (that’s where we learn the most.) They also have the humility to apologize and own it in the moments they’re flawed humans.

Our parent’s reactions and coping mechanisms are a reflection of their ability to regulate. And shape their child’s future beyond what’s currently known.

Countless adults are stuck. Like myself, they didn’t get the opportunity to witness parents who could emotionally regulate. So instead they: avoid, numb, push people away, and live in spirals of self doubt. They settle and remove themselves from new opportunities because they don’t trust themselves to be able to cope with whatever comes their way.

Children who are modeled emotional regulation become resilient adults. They can handle disappointment. They can rebound from rejection. They can set clear boundaries. They have a healthy understanding of what behaviors are unacceptable in relationships— and they remove themselves from those situations.

It quite literally will change the path they take in life.

We will change our world when our goal becomes giving children the emotional tools, not just the material
