📚✏️ Ascent Therapy Harrison – Back to School Event 2026! 🎒💙

We are already getting excited for our Annual Back to School Event, and we can’t wait to do it again this year!

Last year’s event was such a huge success — because of our amazing community, we were able to help so many local students start the school year feeling prepared and confident. Between backpacks, supplies, and smiling faces, it was truly an incredible day!

We are especially excited to share that Haute House Salon is partnering with us again this year! 💇‍♂️💇‍♀️
They have 15 stylists volunteering their time to provide free haircuts to the kids in our community — just like they did last year. We are beyond grateful for their generosity and heart for serving local families!

📍 This year’s event will all be held at Haute House Salon.

As many of you start your spring cleaning, we’d love for you to keep us in mind. We are beginning to collect donations and would greatly appreciate:
🎒 New backpacks
💧 New water bottles
✏️ School supplies

We would also love to partner with local businesses who may want to sponsor backpacks, donate supplies, or support this event in any way. Our goal is to make this year even bigger and better for our local families!

💙 Happy School Counselors Week! 💙

This week, we want to give a huge shout-out to our incredible MHPs and QBHPs with Ascent Therapy – Harrison who serve the Jasper, Omaha, Valley Springs, Alpena, and Green Forest School Districts.

Your dedication to supporting students’ mental health, emotional growth, and overall well-being does not go unnoticed. Every day, you show up with compassion, patience, and advocacy—helping students navigate challenges and build resilience both inside and outside the classroom.

We are so grateful for the impact you make in our schools and communities. Thank you for the meaningful work you do and for being such an important support for our students, families, and staff. 🌟

Please welcome one of our new providers- Lisa Hubbard, MS, LAC, LPC-A, LADAC, LCDC, ASAT is a Licensed Associate Counselor serving individuals in Arkansas. She specializes in addiction counseling, helping clients navigate substance use and compulsive behaviors with compassion, clarity, and evidence-based care. With over ten years of experience, Lisa provides a supportive, non-judgmental space where clients can feel understood and empowered to make meaningful, lasting changes. Her approach is practical, individualized, and focused on helping people regain stability, rebuild confidence, and move forward with purpose. She works with clients of all ages, with a primary focus on adolescents (12+) and adults. Lisa has availabilities Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. ❤️

Ascent Therapy Harrison has been proudly serving clients, families, and our community for one year this December. To celebrate and give back, our Ascent Therapy Harrison Community Outreach Program will be hosting a Winter Coat Drive from January 1–31st ❄️

Our goal is to collect coats, hats, gloves, and blankets for children and adults in need during the winter season.

🎄 Ascent Therapy Harrison had a blast at the Explore Harrison Christmas Parade! 🎄

A HUGE shoutout to our amazing mental health therapy provider— Shelbi Cain for using her creativity and talent to design and build our parade float this year! The theme was The Grinch, and since so many of our providers work with students across surrounding school districts, Shelbi created an adorable Grinch Classroom—and it turned out absolutely perfect. 💚📚✨

Some of our providers and their families joined us for the fun, passing out our positive-affirmation candy canes to the community. We’re so grateful for the support and love Harrison always shows us. Thank you to everyone who came out and made the night so special! ❤️💚

We’re so grateful for everyone who has helped so far! 💚 Together, we’ve already given out 12 food boxes, plus 3 directly to our client families — and we now have over 35 more families signed up who are in desperate need of help.

Many families are reaching out for immediate needs like meat, milk, eggs, pasta, and other non-perishable items. 🥫 Every donation truly makes a difference for those who are struggling right now.

Thanks to the generosity of our community, we’ve already been able to shop for food to support the families who need us most. So far, 26 families have signed up requesting assistance — and we are committed to providing what we can to each of them, as well as to our clients and their families whenever help is needed!

Important Update from Ascent Therapy Harrison!!!!!

Due to unforeseen circumstances and limited staffing available, our Ascent Therapy’s Mindful Monster Mash 👻🎃event will be canceled. In its place, the Harrison Ascent Therapy Community Outreach Program is shifting focus to support our community during the SNAP program shutdown that is an upcoming possibility if the government shutdown continues.

We understand this change may cause disappointment, but our priority is to stand beside our clients, families, and neighbors during this time of need.

We will be organizing food baskets and providing assistance to help families navigate available resources. If you would like to donate nonperishable food items or other essentials for our pantry, your generosity will make a meaningful difference.
