If the gym looks safe…
but your body doesn’t feel safe in it then this is for you.
Being hypermobile doesn’t mean you’re fragile.
And it definitely doesn’t mean you should avoid strength training.
It means your joints need clarity, control, and trust before intensity.
A lot of hypermobile patients come to us saying:
“I’m flexible, but lifting feels sketchy.”
“I don’t know how far is too far.”
“I feel worse when I try to train like everyone else.”
That’s not a motivation problem.
That’s a programming problem.
Hypermobility needs:
• Controlled strength
• Slower tempo
• Stability before load
• Confidence before intensity
When your body learns it can control movement,
pain stops being the boss.
If this sounds like you, you’re not broken
you just need different rules.
