Friendly reminder that last year’s flu shot increased the risk of flu by 33% in a study of over 53,000 Cleveland Clinic employees. (➡️For what to do instead, see my recommendations at bottom of post.)

🍋MY ADVICE INSTEAD: 🍯
▶️Stay hydrated and alkaline with plenty of potassium in your diet (for a shortcut include coconut water or Body Armor Lyte drinks regularly).
▶️ Keep the sugar intake to a minimum. Only 6 tsp of sugar is enough to suppress your immune system by 25% for 24 hours.
▶️ Move and sweat regularly. Use a sauna at your gym; do workouts that heat up your body; take hot baths. Heat is antimicrobial.
If you DO start to come down with symptoms, take:
🟣 25,000 IU's of vitamin D daily for 2-3 days
🟣 50 mg of zinc daily for 3 days
🟣 Hot tea with lemon juice and honey added
And, if it is bacterial like strep, add 2-3 tablets of 🟣 iodine daily for 3-5 days. (This works BETTER than an antibiotic without killing off your gut flora.) I have some here in office or you can find 12.5 mg tablets or capsules on Amazon.
If these steps are taken, you can greatly reduce the symptoms and potentially completely ward off any flus or illnesses that come your way this season, no vaccine needed. 🙌
