We are a peer support organization for those seeking recovery from substance use, mental health, and trauma related experiences.

Our offices will be closed on Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28th for the Thanksgiving holiday.

We will not be hosting peer support groups and we will not be providing harm reduction services on these days.

Strength In Peers’ Community Resource Centers offer free, barrier-free support for anyone in need.

We provide:
💜 Case management & referrals
💜 Application help for housing, healthcare, employment & recovery
💜 Public computer access
💜 Emergency supplies (toiletries, socks, rain ponchos, blankets)
💜 Food pantry items
💜 Weekly peer-led groups: Dual Recovery Therapy & Acudetox, SMART Recovery, Sober Living, Yoga & Meditation, and Anger Management (In-person groups at our Harrisonburg Main St. location, and on-line through Zoom!)

Strength In Peers is collecting coats, hats, gloves, scarves, and other cold-weather essentials along with toiletries and non-perishable foods to support folks in our community.

Help Us Stock Our Pantry with Love! 💙

At Strength In Peers, our Community Resource Center food pantries are designed for individuals and families experiencing homelessness or housing instability — many of whom don’t have access to a kitchen, refrigerator, or safe place to store food. Your donations make it possible for them to enjoy nourishing, ready-to-eat meals when they need it most.

Soups & stews
Granola & breakfast bars
