So glad we could carve out time for learning and connection this week. A big shoutout to Caleigh, our AAC Coordinator, for bringing this inservice together, and to Claire from Tobii Dynavox for an engaging, thoughtful presentation that gave our team a lot to think about. Bonus points for showing up with Jimmy John’s and keeping everyone well fed. We’re grateful for partners who support our clinicians and make professional growth feel energizing and collaborative.

Did you know that February is National Snack Month? 🍎🥨

Snacks aren’t just filler between meals. For many children, they can be a low pressure way to explore food, build comfort, and support feeding development. In feeding therapy, snacks are often used intentionally to reduce stress, increase exposure, and support positive experiences around eating.

We just published a new blog post that takes a closer look at how snacks can support feeding development in a pressure free, family centered way.

Meet Bre, our graduate SLP student joining us this semester at our Loudoun County office. She is a Speech-Language Pathology graduate student at James Madison University, graduating in May 2026, and will be working alongside SLP Sammie. Bre brings both personal and academic experience that fuels her passion for compassionate, neuro-affirming, family-centered care. We’re so glad to have her as part of our SLC community.

Celebrating a major milestone. After 11 years of showing up, putting in the work, and staying committed over time, Peter has officially completed speech therapy. The effort, persistence, and determination across the years are something to be incredibly proud of, and we’re so glad to celebrate this meaningful accomplishment. Huge congrats 🎉
