Today we say goodbye to someone very special to our First Choice family 💙

Diane began her journey with us as a Scheduler, where her organization, calm presence, and ability to keep all the moving pieces together made such a difference for our team and the patients we serve. She later stepped into the role of Health Information Coordinator, continuing to grow and bringing that same dedication, attention to detail, and heart to everything she did.

Whether she was coordinating schedules, managing vital information, or stepping in to help wherever needed, Diane did it with professionalism, kindness, and a true team spirit. She has been someone we could count on — steady, dependable, and always willing to lend a hand.

While we are sad to see her go, we are so excited for this new chapter as she moves back to her hometown in New Jersey. Home has a special pull, and we are grateful for the time we’ve had with her here.

Diane, thank you for your hard work, your commitment, and the positive energy you brought to our office each day. You will be truly missed, but you will always be part of the First Choice family.

Today we celebrate an incredible milestone and an even more incredible person. 💙

After nearly a decade of compassionate service, Anna Good is retiring from First Choice Home Health & Hospice!

Since joining our team in 2016, Anna has touched countless lives through her kindness, dedication, and unwavering commitment to caring for patients and families during some of life’s most meaningful moments. As a Hospice CNA, she brought comfort, dignity, and peace to those she served — and left a lasting impact on coworkers, patients, and our entire community.

Anna’s gentle spirit, warm smile, and servant heart have truly defined what hospice care is all about. While we will deeply miss her presence, we are so grateful for the years she shared with First Choice and the legacy of compassion she leaves behind.

The Meaning in a Moment - As we continue celebrating our amazing volunteers this month, we'd like to honor Mila Litchfield, Community Relations Director at First Choice Home Health & Hospice. Mila makes meaningful connections with guests at The Gathering Place, our respite program for care partners living with dementia. She says, "Volunteering at The Gathering Place is a chance to remember what really matters-- taking the time to experience life in the moment. VPAS has set up a program that creates a much-needed space to gather with others and just be. I'm so grateful to be a part of it! March is Social Work Month, and we are proud to celebrate the incredible difference social workers make every single day — especially in home care, home health, and hospice.
In the home setting, social work is more than a service — it’s a lifeline.

Our social workers walk alongside patients and families during some of life’s most vulnerable moments. They provide emotional support during difficult diagnoses, help families navigate complex healthcare systems, connect patients to vital community resources, assist with advance care planning, and offer guidance through grief and loss.

They help remove barriers so patients can remain safely and comfortably at home — where healing often happens best. In hospice, they offer compassionate counseling, advocacy, and steady reassurance when families need it most.
They are advocates.
They are problem-solvers.
They are counselors.
They are educators.
They are anchors in times of uncertainty.

Because of social workers, care is not just clinical — it is compassionate, coordinated, and whole.
