At Golden Years, we provide a positive, caring environment to nurture and enhance the physical, social and emotional well-being of each resident. Personal choice and guided independence are respected and encouraged at Golden Years. Our staff of community-based healthcare professionals offers compassionate care in a cheerful living environment. Golden Years has served the Harrisonville community for over 100 years. Residents receive the care level appropriate to their individual and changing needs, from an occasional helping hand to experienced skilled nursing or hospice care. Our staff focuses on creating activities that are appropriate for all levels of cognitive and physical abilities. Golden Years has 3 levels of care available located in 3 separate units; Rehabilitation Services, Extended Care and Memory Care. Our rehabilitation center offers complex medical and rehabilitation services delivered by a team of caring professionals. Golden Years Rehabilitation Center utilizes the latest equipment and techniques within a supportive atmosphere. Our clinical team has a demonstrated track record of success and a proven commitment to clinical excellence. With a focus on short-term rehabilitation, most patients are discharged home. For those needing a little more time or who choose to stay a little longer to get stronger, we have intermediate- and long term care services available. The Extended Care Community allows as much independence as is appropriate. For those needing this unit, their level of care is assessed immediately so the necessary support is provided to ensure all care needs are met from our 24-hour nursing care coverage. In addition to nursing care, a full schedule of activities are provided to ensure the mental, physical, spiritual and social needs are all met. This unit is designed specifically to meet the needs and ensure the safety of individuals with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. Golden Years' philosophy advocates treating the whole person and affirming the dignity of each individual.
