September is Su***de Prevention Month.

Did you know that Veterinarians have one of the highest su***de rates of all professions? Studies have confirmed that they are significantly more likely to die by su***de than the general population. Some comparisons show that the su***de rate for veterinarians is higher than that of both the dental and medical professions.
A 2019 study published in the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association (JAVMA), using data from 1979 to 2015, found that:
Male veterinarians were 2.1 times more likely to die from su***de than the general U.S. population.
Female veterinarians were 3.5 times more likely to die from su***de than the general U.S. population.

We are excited to welcome Leah to our practice!
Leah is currently accepting clients for individual counseling as well as co-parenting counseling at our new office in the Clocktower Building next to Art Box Studio (180 Tinkam Lane, Suite 1).
Leah comes to us from the Rhode Island College Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program and has an interest in working with children and adolescents as well as providing co-parenting support.

We’ve been working on some amazing things!!

We are happy to welcome a new clinician to the practice who is a graduate student of Clinical Mental Health Counseling. We will have more information soon about her and when she will be taking clients.

We are also excited to announce that we will be moving our location to the Clocktower Building—right next to the Art Box Studio in March! Updates to follow.
