People of any age, race, ethnicity, or s*x can experience su***de risk, but certain groups have substantially higher rates of su***de than the general U.S. population.”

1. Persistent depressed (low) mood.
2. Loss of interest in things you once enjoyed.
3. Feelings of worthlessness.
4. Poor concentration.
5. Thoughts of harming yourself.
Suicidal ideation is an immediate cause for concern. If you or someone you love has expressed having thoughts of su***de or of “not wanting to be alive,” you can call the National Su***de Prevention Lifeline at 800-273-8255 or text “HOME” to 741741.

Are you or a loved one suffering from treatment resistant depression? If your answer is yes, Aloha’s new nasal spray ketamine treatment might be right for you. Unsure about what the effects are of ketamine? Read on to learn how your first treatment appointment will look and feel.
When you walk into Aloha, you will be greeted by a friendly administrative specialist and the scent of calming essential oil in the air. You will be checked in and given a bag that contains an eye mask, folder, journal, pen, and other information. Keep good care of this bag as you will need to bring it to every session.
You will then be led to a cozy private room complete with a comfortable rocking recliner and fireplace. One of our medical providers will instruct you how to administer the ketamine SPRAVATO® nasal spray. You will make yourself comfortable and the provider will leave the room. However, the one of our medical assistants will view a live video feed throughout the entire treatment to ensure you are doing well. The medical assistant will also re-enter the room about 40 minutes into your session to take your vitals.
Most patients report peak sedation and dissociation occurring about 40 minutes after the nasal spray is administered. Some patients may not dissociate until the 3rd or 4th treatment due to their anxiety of the unknown, while others are able to dissociate on their 1st appointment.
What does dissociation feel like, you may be asking yourself. Patients who have gone through SPRAVATO® treatment report feelings of euphoria, slight visual distortions, looking down on themselves, hands floating, and feeling like their body is not connected to their self. For most people this is a positive experience.
Your session will last for 2 hours and a medical provider will check your vitals before, during, and after.
If you are interested in learning more or pre-qualifying for our ketamine treatment, please call us today at 801.399.1818.
