AMD is a disease that targets the retina and can lead to blindness. Recent advancements in treatment can slow down progression or even save vision, but awareness and prevention remain the best policy.

Happy new year everyone! January is Glaucoma Awareness Month.

Glaucoma is an eye disease with no noticable symptoms in its early stages, and it can lead to irreversible blindness. Routine comprehensive eye care is the best way to identify and prevent glaucoma related vision loss.

The holidays are approaching quickly and we wanted to let our clients know our upcoming schedule for the next few weeks. We will be closing at 1pm on December 24th, closed on December 26th and January 2nd. As many of you know we have added new staff to our office so if you are looking to get in before the end of the year give us a call and we will work you in! We would like to announce the addition of a new doctor to our team, Craig Rybarz!
Dr. Rybarz is originally from Hart and is returning to join Dr. Jonassen and the rest of the staff here at Oceana Eyecare. He attended Ferris State University where he met is wife, and they are happy to be back in his hometown working for a small independent business.
Oceana Eyecare offers routine eye exams for all ages, treatment and management of ocular diseases, and fitting of both soft and specialty contact lenses.
