We extend our sincere gratitude to the Town of Manchester - Government for donating turkeys this Thanksgiving. Their support helped the Health Collective East Food Pantry distribute 90 turkeys, 8 chickens, 28 pork roasts, and 17 turkey breasts, along with full holiday fixings, to Ryan White clients and community members. This is what community looks like!

A special thank you to our dedicated volunteers and staff who worked tirelessly to unload and distribute food to our neighbors. We’re grateful for your commitment.

Featured in our Winter 2025-2026 Edition of CT VOICE by Jane Latus:

Connecticut Voice occasionally checks in with the state’s nonprofits to see how they and those they serve are doing, especially during upheavals like the Covid epidemic.
“The q***r community is not new to this. But in New Haven and all over the state, this community is strong, and we are powerful. We will be okay."

Despite mounting pressure from federal attacks and local cutbacks, Connecticut’s LGBTQ+ organizations say they’re seeing kids, families, and finances pushed to the brink, but also an inspiring surge of community support, volunteers, and hope that keeps them going.

Thank you to The Health Collective New Haven Pride Center Greater Bridgeport Pride, Bpt, CT Triangle Community Center and Q Plus for your insight and all of your support for the LGBTQ+ community!!
