Since this is a new year, I have decided to get back to blogging. You can find my new blog at: www.patchworkplusquilts.blogspot.com

What a big year for us in 2022. I finally have my dream quilting studio that was finished in April (thank you Brian and the gang of ABS Home Improvement). We permanently closed the physical location of Patchwork Plus and moved the longarm home so I can continue to longarm for customers in May. With the help from my quilting "queenager" buddies, everything was finally moved out of the shop and from the old house, unloaded and in place in the studio by July. Donnie had open heart surgery in August and I had foot surgery in December.

Thank you to all of the Veterans I met this year. Awarding each of you your Quilt of Valor always puts a smile on my face and has a special place in my heart. A special thanks to Al Mahan, Joe Revelle, Ron Swaim, Kate Broadhurst, Don Schuler and Gary Swift for all of your support. Hoping we can touch even more Veterans in 2023!

And a special thank you to my "Queenager" quilting buddies. We six are truly blessed to have each other. You all have listened without judgement, helped without conditions, understood with empathy and loved me no matter what. We have laughed and cried this year, took a few road trips together and always willing to give me your honest opinions. You always put a smile on my face.

As for my family, all of our kids, grandkids and granddogs, we love you unconditionally. Thank you Bruce (Amy) and Charleigh (Drake) for joining this wild and wonderful family.
